Ryanair connects Zagreb with Manchester and Dublin

The Irish airline Ryanair is introducing two more new routes from capital of Croatia - Zagreb.

Zagreb - Manchester - Zagreb
As of today, Ryanair operates twice a week between Zagreb and Manchester. The last time planes operated on a direct route between the two cities was in October 2017. It was the British Monarch Airlines that went bankrupt and cut off traffic on all routes.

From October 2017 there were no regular lines, until today. Ryanair (or Lauda) planes will operate twice a week between Manchester and Zagreb, every Thursday and Sunday, and flights are on sale for departures until October next year!

United Airlines announces direct USA-Croatia flight

United Airlines announces direct USA-Croatia flight

United Airlines, one of the largest American airlines, is to launch the only nonstop service between the United States and Croatia.

The Chicago-based airline has announced today at a press conference that it is adding three new flights to its international network.

One of those flights, starting in July, is a new flight from Newark Liberty International Airport to Dubrovnik.

United also announced it will add new flights from Washington Dulles International Airport to Athens, Greece and from Chicago O’Hare International Airport to Reykjavik, Iceland, all of which are subject to government approval.

The addition of these new routes reflects an increase in interest among United’s customers: in the last month, searches on United.com for flights to Croatia, Greece and Iceland are up 61%.

“As countries around the world begin the process of reopening, leisure travellers are eager to take a long-awaited getaway to new international destinations. These three new routes unlock the natural beauty of the outdoors for our guests. They are also the latest example of how United is remaining nimble in rebuilding our network,” said Patrick Quayle, vice president of international network and alliances.

United plans to add the only nonstop service between the U.S. and Croatia on July 8, with service to Dubrovnik on Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast. The airline will operate three weekly flights between Newark and Dubrovnik through October 3 on a Boeing 767-300ER with 30 United Polaris business class seats.

Flights will operate Monday, Thursday, and Saturday from Newark and on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday from Dubrovnik and will be timed to connect in Newark to over 65 cities in North America.

Safe stay in Croatia!

Safe stay in Croatia!

Safe stay in Croatia is a national designation of security protocols in tourism and hospitality that was initiated in 2021. It is awarded to stakeholders in the tourism sector by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.

This designation allows visitors to easily identify destinations, accommodation providers, transport, tourist attractions and other facilities that have adopted global standards for health and hygiene. The prominent Safe stay in Croatia label informs visitors that a tourist facility is operating according to the current recommendations of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) and the Croatian Institute of Public Health. By introducing this label, Croatia is putting visitor safety first.

Eurowings will link Croatian airports with new Berlin Brandenburg Airport

Eurowings will link Croatian airports with new Berlin Brandenburg Airport

Rijeka, Zadar, Split and Dubrovnik will have a direct route to Berlin's new airport this summer season!

In its timetable for the upcoming summer season, Eurowings has announced these four routes as new, although almost all of the mentioned Croatian airports previously had a connection to Berlin Tegel Airport, but since this airport is now closed, traffic to Croatia will be transferred to the new airport and for the first time four Croatian cities will be directly connected to the new Berlin Brandenburg Airport.

The first route will be the Berlin - Split - Berlin, service will resume before the Easter holiday. The start of the season will mark the flight on Saturday, April 3rd. The company plans to operate on this route until October 30th, every Saturday, and from June 1st, the number of weekly flights will increase to two, namely, an additional flight will be introduced on Tuesdays. In this period Eurowings will operate over 50 return flights between Split and Berlin and offer more than 17,500 seats on the market in both directions! A319 and A320 aircraft have been scheduled on this route, as well as on all other routes to Croatia. Eurowings will offer over 43,000 seats between Croatian airports and Berlin during the summer season 2021!
The Berlin - Dubrovnik - Berlin route will start operating on May 9th and will operate until the end of the summer flight schedule, until October 24th. One flight per week is scheduled, every Sunday, so Eurowings will offer around 8,200 seats on this route during the season.

The Berlin - Rijeka - Berlin route will be in traffic from May 15th to October 30th, also once a week, on Saturdays. 26 return flights are scheduled so far, with Eurowings currently offering more than 8,500 seats on the market between Berlin and Kvarner region!

The Berlin - Zadar - Berlin route has been scheduled from May 22nd to October 30th, it will also operate once a week, on Saturdays. 25 scheduled return flights guarantee over 8,200 seats on the market in both directions.

In the summer of 2019, Eurowings operated from Berlin (Tegel) to almost all airports in Croatia, in the summer season of 2020 only Berlin - Split - Berlin route operated shortly, and according to current announcements, Croatian airports will be linked with new Berlin Brandenburg Airport.

The company currently offers cheap tickets on routes from Croatia to Berlin, starting from 50 euros, flights are available for booking on the official website of Eurowings.
